My approach to speech and language therapy is collaborative. I work with families to ensure they learn the strategies their child needs to be successful outside the therapy setting. Working with families enables faster carryover of speech and language skills.

When our son wasn’t reaching language milestones we were panicked. Then Christine started working with our 3 year old son and teaching us how to support him as well. Her methods are playful and age appropriate. Our son looked forward to each session as much as he did his play dates because Christine was more than a speech teacher. She was also his friend. We are forever grateful for the speech and language progress he made with Christine’s help. -K.L.

Christine has been unbelievable!! My college age son was struggling socially due to his increased disfluency. The transition to college put extra stress and anxiety on him. He was becoming more and more introverted and avoiding situations and conversations with others because of his stutter. After the first few sessions with Christine, I started to see and hear a completely different child. Her lessons and encouragement helped to give him the confidence to create a life for himself. He became more aware of his speech patterns and was able to utilize the strategies she taught in his every day life. Even though he had received speech services since a very young age, nothing resonated with him until he started to work with Christine.

I was so impressed with her dedication, support, and skills that I even had her start to work with my second son. I cannot say enough wonderful things about her as a speech pathologist and as a professional. It is so obvious how much she cares about her students. She is always willing to think outside the box and go the extra mile to see that her students receive the best care possible!  -R.S.

Christine worked with two of my children ages 6-10 on their speech, making the practice fun and motivational. She is an expert in her field, professional yet personable, and kind in her approach, getting to know children, their personalities and interests, and always praising their efforts to boost their self confidence. Some of the things I remember most is how she used mirrors for my children to see and practice correct tongue placement, played a variety of games to focus on specific skills, and awarded interest-based prizes for each of my children reaching an attainable goal. Because of Christine’s consistency, commitment and care, my children were able to develop their speech sounds correctly with complete success! -H.J.
